However, I encountered an issue where the custom temperature of 100 degrees I set resulted in a reading of 83 degrees on my thermometer after three hours. In an attempt to reach 100 degrees, I reset it to 120 degrees. Additionally, I found that I couldn’t set a custom temperature and cooking time without having the lid securely screwed on, unlike what I saw in a YouTube video where someone adjusted the settings with the lid off. This proved to be quite frustrating, and it raised concerns about the reliability of my Instant Pot.
As a follow-up, even after 17 hours, the temperature still didn’t reach the desired level. I had to continually make adjustments until 2:30 am when I ultimately gave up. Due to concerns about food safety, I had to discard the contents to avoid the risk of salmonella. On a positive note, I had a positive experience with Amazon customer service as they offered a refund, even without the original packaging.
